Buck Rogers Planet of Zoom Arcade Game

Are you a big fan of vintage arcade games and pinball machines? If so, you’ve definitely come to the right place. Vintage Arcade Superstore is happy to let our customers know that we now have a Buck Rogers Planet of Zoom arcade game for sale at our location in Glendale, California.

In 1979, Buck Rogers was revived and updated for a prime-time television series for NBC Television. The pilot was repackaged for theatrical release, and good box office led  NBC to commission a full series, and licensed tie-ins soon after.  Gottlieb rushed out a pinball machine in 1980, but an actors’ strike delayed the series, and it was cancelled before this arcade game was released. The psuedo 3-D scaling and detailed sprites coupled with the behind-the-back third person POV were hugely influential on future Sega games, like Space Harrier, and even Nintendo’s Star Fox.  Fun to play, this machine is rare and gorgeous, and looks very nice!
