Football 4 player Atari X’s & O’s

Here is the rare 4 player version of the popular Atari X’s and O’s Football game.  This is a very rare and hard to find game.  It features 2 trackballs on each side.  The cabinet is larger to accommodate 2 players on each side.  They added some new plays from the original game also.

Description

An American football game where the player characters are represented as X’s and O’s on a monochrome screen. Players select either offensive or defensive plays and then control one of the characters on each team by rolling a trackball. Two versions were released; one for two players and another for two or four players.

Atari Football was produced by Atari in 1979.

Atari released 139 different machines in our database under this trade name, starting in 1972.
